The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said,“ He saved others; let him save himself if he is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.”

The people stood there watching. The rulers even made fun of Jesus. They said,“ He saved others. Let him save himself if he is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.”

And the people stood by, watching, but the rulers scoffed at him, saying,“ He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ of God, his Chosen One!”

The crowd watched and the leaders scoffed.“ He saved others,” they said,“ let him save himself if he is really God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.”

The people stood watching, and even the leaders were scoffing:“ He saved others; let him save himself if this is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One!”

And the people stood by, watching. And even the rulers were sneering at Him, saying,“ He saved others; let Him save Himself if this is the Christ of God, His Chosen One.”

And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying,“ He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.”

And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also scoffed at him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen.

The people stood watching, and even the leaders kept scoffing:“ He saved others; let Him save Himself if this is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One!”

So as you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but chosen and priceless in God’s sight,

“ Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I take great delight. I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.

The Pharisees( who loved money) heard all this and ridiculed him.

Do not let those who are my enemies for no reason gloat over me! Do not let those who hate me without cause carry out their wicked schemes!For they do not try to make peace with others, but plan ways to deceive those who are unsuspecting.They are ready to devour me; they say,“ Aha! Aha! We’ve got you!”But you take notice, LORD! O Lord, do not remain far away from me!Rouse yourself, wake up and vindicate me! My God and Lord, defend my just cause!Vindicate me by your justice, O LORD my God! Do not let them gloat over me!Do not let them say to themselves,“ Aha! We have what we wanted!” Do not let them say,“ We have devoured him!”

For I suffer humiliation for your sake and am thoroughly disgraced.My own brothers treat me like a stranger; they act as if I were a foreigner.Certainly zeal for your house consumes me; I endure the insults of those who insult you.I weep and refrain from eating food, which causes others to insult me.I wear sackcloth and they ridicule me.Those who sit at the city gate gossip about me; drunkards mock me in their songs.

and said,“ If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them,“ If I tell you, you will not believe,and if I ask you, you will not answer.But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”So they all said,“ Are you the Son of God, then?” He answered them,“ You say that I am.”

You men, how long will you try to turn my honor into shame? How long will you love what is worthless and search for what is deceptive?( Selah)

He was despised and rejected by people, one who experienced pain and was acquainted with illness; people hid their faces from him; he was despised, and we considered him insignificant.

This is what the LORD, the protector of Israel, their Holy One, says to the one who is despised and rejected by nations, a servant of rulers:“ Kings will see and rise in respect, princes will bow down, because of the faithful LORD, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen you.”

Many bulls surround me; powerful bulls of Bashan hem me in.They open their mouths to devour me like a roaring lion that rips its prey.

But when I stumbled, they rejoiced and gathered together; they gathered together to ambush me. They tore at me without stopping to rest.

They say,“ God has abandoned him. Run and seize him, for there is no one who will rescue him!”

And a voice from heaven said,“ This is my one dear Son; in him I take great delight.”

“ I will pour out on the kingship of David and the population of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication so that they will look to me, the one they have pierced. They will lament for him as one laments for an only son, and there will be a bitter cry for him like the bitter cry for a firstborn.

For they harass the one whom you discipline; they spread the news about the suffering of those whom you punish.

They said to one another,“ Here comes this master of dreams!Come now, let’s kill him, throw him into one of the cisterns, and then say that a wild animal ate him. Then we’ll see how his dreams turn out!”

Those who passed by defamed him, shaking their heads and saying,“ Aha! You who can destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,save yourself and come down from the cross!”In the same way even the chief priests– together with the experts in the law– were mocking him among themselves:“ He saved others, but he cannot save himself!Let the Christ, the king of Israel, come down from the cross now, that we may see and believe!” Those who were crucified with him also spoke abusively to him.

Then two outlaws were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.Those who passed by defamed him, shaking their headsand saying,“ You who can destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are God’s Son, come down from the cross!”In the same way even the chief priests– together with the experts in the law and elders– were mocking him:“ He saved others, but he cannot save himself! He is the king of Israel! If he comes down now from the cross, we will believe in him!He trusts in God– let God, if he wants to, deliver him now because he said,‘ I am God’s Son’!”

I have become the laughingstock of all people, their mocking song all day long.

But I am a worm, not a man; people insult me and despise me.All who see me taunt me; they mock me and shake their heads.They say,“ Commit yourself to the LORD! Let the LORD rescue him! Let the LORD deliver him, for he delights in him.”
