因为日子快到了，人们将说，‘不曾生育、不曾怀孕、不曾哺乳的女子有福了！’

那时，孕妇和哺育婴儿的母亲们可就遭殃了！

那时，孕妇和哺育婴儿的母亲们可就遭殃了！因为将有大灾难降在这地方，烈怒要临到这些人民。他们要死在刀剑之下，要被掳到外国去。耶路撒冷要被外族人蹂躏，直到外族人肆虐的日期满了为止。

撒玛利亚人背叛了他们的上帝，要担当自己的罪过。他们将丧身刀下，他们的孩子要被摔死，孕妇要被剖腹。”

那时，孕妇和哺育婴儿的母亲们可就遭殃了！你们要祈求上帝使这些事不要在冬天发生，因为那是上帝创造天地以来空前绝后的大灾难。

“当你们被敌人围困、陷入绝境时，你们必吃自己的亲生骨肉——你们的上帝耶和华赐给你们的儿女。因为被敌人困在城中，饥饿难熬，连你们中间最温柔体贴的男人也要独自吞吃子女的肉，不肯分给自己的兄弟、爱妻和剩下的儿女。

你们纵然把孩子养大，我也要夺去他们的性命，一个也不留。我撇弃你们的时候，你们就有祸了！我看见以法莲栽种在草原上，美如泰尔，但以法莲却要把孩子交给屠杀者。”耶和华啊，求你给他们——你要给他们什么呢？求你使他们子宫流产，乳房干瘪。耶和华说：“因他们在吉甲的一切恶行，我已憎恶他们。因他们的恶行，我要将他们逐出我的家，不再爱他们，他们的首领都是悖逆之人。以法莲要被击打，他们的根将枯干，再也不能结果。就算他们能生儿育女，我也要杀死他们心爱的孩子。”
