于是彼拉多把耶稣交给他们去钉十字架。他们就把耶稣带了去。耶稣背着自己的十字架出来，到了一个地方，名叫“髑髅地”，希伯来话叫各各他。

耶稣又对众人说：“若有人要跟从我，就当舍己，天天背起自己的十字架来跟从我。

凡不背着自己的十字架来跟从我的，也不能作我的门徒。

他们出去的时候，遇见一个古利奈人，名叫西门，就强迫他同去，好背耶稣的十字架。他们到了一个地方，名叫各各他，就是“髑髅地”。士兵拿苦胆调和的酒给耶稣喝。他尝了，不肯喝。他们把他钉在十字架上，然后抽签分了他的衣服，又坐在那里看守他。他们在他头上方安了一个罪状牌，写着：“这是犹太人的王耶稣。”当时，有两个强盗和他同钉十字架，一个在右边，一个在左边。从那里经过的人讥笑他，摇着头，说：“你这拆毁殿、三日又建造起来的，救救你自己吧！如果你是上帝的儿子，就从十字架上下来呀！”众祭司长、文士和长老也同样嘲笑他，说：“他救了别人，不能救自己。他是以色列的王，现在从十字架上下来，我们就信他。他倚靠上帝，上帝若愿意，现在就来救他，因为他曾说‘我是上帝的儿子’。”和他同钉的强盗也这样讥讽他。

当时有从称为“自由人”会堂，并古利奈、亚历山大会堂来的人，还有些从基利家、亚细亚来的人，起来和司提反辩论。

叫他们站在使徒面前，使徒祷告后，就为他们按手。

弗吕家、旁非利亚、埃及的人，并靠近古利奈的利比亚一带地方的人，侨居的罗马人，

在安提阿的教会中，有几位先知和教师，就是巴拿巴和称为尼结的西面、古利奈人路求，与希律分封王一起长大的马念，和扫罗。
