But they cried out all together, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:—

But the whole crowd shouted,“ Away with this man! Release Barabbas to us!”

But the whole crowd shouted,“ Kill this man! But let Barabbas go!”

But they all cried out together,“ Away with this man, and release to us Barabbas”—

Then a mighty roar rose from the crowd, and with one voice they shouted,“ Kill him, and release Barabbas to us!”

Then they all cried out together,“ Take this man away! Release Barabbas to us!”

But they cried out all together, saying,“ Away with this man, and release to us Barabbas!”

And they all cried out at once, saying,“ Away with this Man, and release to us Barabbas”—

Then they all cried out together,“ Take this man away! Release Barabbas to us!”

And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this[ man], and release unto us Barabbas:

But they all shouted out together,“ Take this man away! Release Barabbas for us!”

But they all cried out together, saying,“ Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!”—

But ye denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted unto you,

for the multitude of the people followed after, crying out, Away with him.

And they gave him audience unto this word; and they lifted up their voice, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.

They therefore cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him! Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cæsar.Then therefore he delivered him unto them to be crucified.

Now at the feast the governor was wont to release unto the multitude one prisoner, whom they would.And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?For he knew that for envy they had delivered him up.And while he was sitting on the judgment- seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that righteous man; for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.But the governor answered and said unto them, Which of the two will ye that I release unto you? And they said, Barabbas.Pilate saith unto them, What then shall I do unto Jesus who is called Christ? They all say, Let him be crucified.And he said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out exceedingly, saying, Let him be crucified.So when Pilate saw that he prevailed nothing, but rather that a tumult was arising, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man; see ye to it.And all the people answered and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.Then released he unto them Barabbas; but Jesus he scourged and delivered to be crucified.

But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?They cried out therefore again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

Now at the feast he used to release unto them one prisoner, whom they asked of him.And there was one called Barabbas, lying bound with them that had made insurrection, men who in the insurrection had committed murder.And the multitude went up and began to ask him to do as he was wont to do unto them.And Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?For he perceived that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.But the chief priests stirred up the multitude, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.And Pilate again answered and said unto them, What then shall I do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?And they cried out again, Crucify him.And Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out exceedingly, Crucify him.And Pilate, wishing to content the multitude, released unto them Barabbas, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.
