If thou art the Christ, tell us. But he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

说：“你如果是基督，就告诉我们吧。”耶稣对他们说：“就算我告诉你们，你们也绝不会相信；

說：「你若是基督，就告訴我們。」耶穌說：「我若告訴你們，你們也不信；

說：「如果你是基督，就告訴我們。」耶穌對他們說：「我若告訴你們，你們也不信；

『爾苟為基督、請明以見告。』耶穌曰：『予告爾、爾不信也。

“ If you are the Messiah,” they said,“ tell us.” Jesus answered,“ If I tell you, you will not believe me,

“ If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them,“ If I tell you, you will not believe,

and they said,“ Tell us, are you the Messiah?” But he replied,“ If I tell you, you won’t believe me.

“ If You are the Christ, tell us.” But He said to them,“ If I tell you, you will not believe;

“ If You are the Christ, tell us.” But He said to them,“ If I tell you, you will by no means believe.

They said,“ If You are the Messiah, tell us.” But He said to them,“ If I do tell you, you will not believe.

Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

and said,“ If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them,“ If I tell you, you will not believe,

“ If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them,“ If I tell you, you won’t believe,

The Jews therefore came round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou hold us in suspense? If thou art the Christ, tell us plainly.Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believe not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, these bear witness of me.But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep.

He answered them, I told you even now, and ye did not hear; wherefore would ye hear it again? would ye also become his disciples?And they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are disciples of Moses.

Ye search the scriptures, because ye think that in them ye have eternal life; and these are they which bear witness of me;and ye will not come to me, that ye may have life.I receive not glory from men.But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in yourselves.I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.How can ye believe, who receive glory one of another, and the glory that cometh from the only God ye seek not?Think not that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, on whom ye have set your hope.For if ye believed Moses, ye would believe me; for he wrote of me.But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word.Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and standeth not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.But because I say the truth, ye believe me not.

But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou art the Christ, the Son of God.Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Henceforth ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.Then the high priest rent his garments, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy: what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard the blasphemy:what think ye? They answered and said, He is worthy of death.Then did they spit in his face and buffet him: and some smote him with the palms of their hands,saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ: who is he that struck thee?

and said unto him, Art thou he that cometh, or look we for another?And Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and tell John the things which ye hear and see:the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good tidings preached to them.

But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they believed not on him:that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?For this cause they could not believe, for that Isaiah said again,He hath blinded their eyes, and he hardened their heart; Lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, And should turn, And I should heal them.These things said Isaiah, because he saw his glory; and he spake of him.Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:for they loved the glory that is of men more than the glory that is of God.

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and saith unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.And the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What further need have we of witnesses?Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be worthy of death.And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the officers received him with blows of their hands.And as Peter was beneath in the court, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest;

And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, if one rise from the dead.
