列國為何咆哮？萬民為何枉費心機？世上的君王一同行動，官長聚集商議，要抵擋耶和華和祂所膏立的王。他們說：「讓我們掙斷他們的鎖鏈，脫去他們的捆索！」

黎明的時候，眾人從該亞法那裡把耶穌押往總督府，他們自己卻沒有進去，因為怕沾染污穢，不能吃逾越節的晚餐。
