A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight. She looked closely at him and said,“ This man was with him.”

A female servant saw him sitting there in the firelight. She looked closely at him. Then she said,“ This man was with Jesus.”

Then a servant girl, seeing him as he sat in the light and looking closely at him, said,“ This man also was with him.”

A servant girl noticed him in the firelight and began staring at him. Finally she said,“ This man was one of Jesus’ followers!”

When a servant saw him sitting in the light, and looked closely at him, she said,“ This man was with him too.”

And a slave woman, seeing him as he sat in the firelight, and staring at him, said,“ This man was with Him as well.”

And a certain servant girl, seeing him as he sat by the fire, looked intently at him and said,“ This man was also with Him.”

And a certain maid seeing him as he sat in the light of the fire, and looking stedfastly upon him, said, This man also was with him.

When a servant saw him sitting in the firelight, and looked closely at him, she said,“ This man was with Him too.”

But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.

A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said,“ This man also was with him.”

Now while Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the high priest’s slave girls came by.When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked directly at him and said,“ You also were with that Nazarene, Jesus.”But he denied it:“ I don’t even understand what you’re talking about!” Then he went out to the gateway, and a rooster crowed.

But Jesus said,“ Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a good service for me.

Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. A slave girl came to him and said,“ You also were with Jesus the Galilean.”

Then, when it was evening, he came to the house with the twelve.

The girl who was the doorkeeper said to Peter,“ You’re not one of this man’s disciples too, are you?” He replied,“ I am not.”
