But Jesus said,“ Enough of this!” And he touched the man’s ear and healed him.

耶穌曰、止、事至此、聽之、遂捫其耳以愈之、

耶穌曰：『且容之。』輕撫其人之耳而愈之。

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

When I was with them I kept them safe and watched over them in your name that you have given me. Not one of them was lost except the one destined for destruction, so that the scripture could be fulfilled.

For to this you were called, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving an example for you to follow in his steps.He committed no sin nor was deceit found in his mouth.When he was maligned, he did not answer back; when he suffered, he threatened no retaliation, but committed himself to God who judges justly.

Jesus replied,“ I told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, let these men go.”He said this to fulfill the word he had spoken,“ I have not lost a single one of those whom you gave me.”

Now I, Paul, appeal to you personally by the meekness and gentleness of Christ( I who am meek when present among you, but am full of courage toward you when away!)–
