Then He said to them,“ Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”

謂之曰、何寢乎、起而禱、免入於試、○

謂之曰、何寢也、且起祈禱、免入誘惑、○

謂之曰、何寢也、起而祈禱、免入誘惑、

謂之曰：『胡為睡耶？起而禱！庶免陷誘。』

“ Why are you sleeping?” he asked them.“ Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.”

“ Why are you sleeping?” he asked them.“ Get up! Pray that you won’t fall into sin when you are tempted.”

and he said to them,“ Why are you sleeping? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

“ Why are you sleeping?” he asked them.“ Get up and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.”

“ Why are you sleeping?” he asked them.“ Get up and pray, so that you won’t fall into temptation.”

and He said to them,“ Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you do not come into temptation.”

and said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.

“ Why are you sleeping?” He asked them.“ Get up and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation.”

And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

So he said to them,“ Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you will not fall into temptation!”

and said to them,“ Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

When He came to the place, He said to them,“ Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

“ But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

So the captain came to him, and said to him,“ What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God; perhaps your God will consider us, so that we may not perish.”

Give no sleep to your eyes, Nor slumber to your eyelids.Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise,Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler,Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest.How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep?A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep—So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, And your need like an armed man.
