and said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.

謂之曰：『胡為睡耶？起而禱！庶免陷誘。』

“ Why are you sleeping?” he asked them.“ Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.”

“ Why are you sleeping?” he asked them.“ Get up! Pray that you won’t fall into sin when you are tempted.”

and he said to them,“ Why are you sleeping? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

But take heed to yourselves, lest haply your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on you suddenly as a snare:for so shall it come upon all them that dwell on the face of all the earth.But watch ye at every season, making supplication, that ye may prevail to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

Give not sleep to thine eyes, Nor slumber to thine eyelids;Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, And as a bird from the hand of the fowler.Go to the ant, thou sluggard; Consider her ways, and be wise:Which having no chief, Overseer, or ruler,Provideth her bread in the summer, And gathereth her food in the harvest.How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep:So shall thy poverty come as a robber, And thy want as an armed man.
