“ Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

He said,“ Father, if you are willing, take this cup of suffering away from me. But do what you want, not what I want.”

He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.”

“ Now my soul is troubled. What shall I say?‘ Father, save me from this time?’ But I came to this time for this cause.Father, glorify your name!” Then a voice came out of the sky, saying,“ I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”

Again, a second time he went away, and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if this cup can’t pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done.”

But Jesus answered,“ You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” They said to him,“ We are able.”

Jesus therefore said to Peter,“ Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?”

He said,“ Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire.”

I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous; because I don’t seek my own will, but the will of my Father who sent me.

For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.”

Then I said,‘ Behold, I have come( in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do your will, O God.’”Previously saying,“ Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you didn’t desire, neither had pleasure in them”( those which are offered according to the law),then he has said,“ Behold, I have come to do your will.” He takes away the first, that he may establish the second,by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Your Lord Yahweh, your God who pleads the cause of his people, says,“ Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath. You will not drink it any more.

Jesus said to them,“ My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.

He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said,“ Take this, and share it among yourselves,for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until God’s Kingdom comes.”He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke, and gave it to them, saying,“ This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying,“ This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

He left them again, went away, and prayed a third time, saying the same words.

Awake, awake! Stand up, Jerusalem, you who have drunk from Yahweh’s hand the cup of his wrath. You have drunken the bowl of the cup of staggering, and drained it.

For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says to me:“ Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send you to drink it.
