And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”

“ Now My soul has become troubled; and what am I to say?‘ Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven:“ I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”

He went away again a second time and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if this cup cannot pass away unless I drink from it, Your will be done.”

But Jesus replied,“ You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?” They* said to Him,“ We are able.”

So Jesus said to Peter,“ Put the sword into the sheath; the cup which the Father has given Me, am I not to drink it?”

And He was saying,“ Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.”

“ I can do nothing on My own. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of Him who sent Me.

For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

I delight to do Your will, my God; Your Law is within my heart.”

Then I said,‘ Behold, I have come( It is written of Me in the scroll of the book) To do Your will, O God.’ ”After saying above,“ Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them”( which are offered according to the Law),then He said,“ Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second.By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.

This is what your Lord, the Lord, your God Who contends for His people says:“ Behold, I have taken from your hand the cup of staggering, The chalice of My anger; You will never drink it again.

Jesus* said to them,“ My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work.

And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He said,“ Take this and share it among yourselves;for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes.”And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying,“ This is My body, which is being given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying,“ This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in My blood.

And He left them again, and went away and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.

Pull yourself up! Pull yourself up! Arise, Jerusalem! You who have drunk from the Lord’s hand the cup of His anger; The chalice of staggering you have drunk to the dregs.

For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to me:“ Take this cup of the wine of wrath from My hand and give it to all the nations to whom I send you, to drink from it.
