“ Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

He said,“ Father, if you are willing, take this cup of suffering away from me. But do what you want, not what I want.”

And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. But for this cause came I unto this hour.Father, glorify thy name. There came therefore a voice out of heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

Again a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, My Father, if this cannot pass away, except I drink it, thy will be done.

But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup that I am about to drink? They say unto him, We are able.

Jesus therefore said unto Peter, Put up the sword into the sheath: the cup which the Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; remove this cup from me: howbeit not what I will, but what thou wilt.

I can of myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is righteous; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

For I am come down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

I delight to do thy will, O my God; Yea, thy law is within my heart.

Then said I, Lo, I am come( In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God.Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein( the which are offered according to the law),then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Thus saith thy Lord Jehovah, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thy hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath; thou shalt no more drink it again:

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to accomplish his work.

And he received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:for I say unto you, I shall not drink from henceforth of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.And the cup in like manner after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, even that which is poured out for you.

And he left them again, and went away, and prayed a third time, saying again the same words.

Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, that hast drunk at the hand of Jehovah the cup of his wrath; thou hast drunken the bowl of the cup of staggering, and drained it.

For thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, unto me: Take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
