Now when He arrived at the place, He said to them,“ Pray that you do not come into temptation.”

On reaching the place, he said to them,“ Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”

When they reached the place, Jesus spoke.“ Pray that you won’t fall into sin when you are tempted,” he said to them.

And when he came to the place, he said to them,“ Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”

There he told them,“ Pray that you will not give in to temptation.”

and He said to them,“ Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you do not come into temptation.”

With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints,and pray in my behalf, that speech may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,

Then Jesus* came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and* told His disciples,“ Sit here while I go over there and pray.”And He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with Him, and began to be grieved and distressed.Then He* said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with Me.”And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”And He* came to the disciples and* found them sleeping, and He* said to Peter,“ So, you men could not keep watch with Me for one hour?Keep watching and praying, so that you do not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”He went away again a second time and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if this cup cannot pass away unless I drink from it, Your will be done.”Again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.And He left them again, and went away and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.Then He* came to the disciples and* said to them,“ Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.Get up, let’s go; behold, the one who is betraying Me is near!”

They* came to a place named Gethsemane; and He* said to His disciples,“ Sit here until I have prayed.”And He* took with Him Peter, James, and John, and began to be very distressed and troubled.And He* said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.”And He went a little beyond them, and fell to the ground and began praying that if it were possible, the hour might pass Him by.And He was saying,“ Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.”And He* came and* found them sleeping, and* said to Peter,“ Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour?Keep watching and praying, so that you will not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”And again He went away and prayed, saying the same words.And again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy; and they did not know what to say in reply to Him.And He* came the third time, and* said to them,“ Are you still sleeping and resting? That is enough. The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.Get up, let’s go; behold, the one who is betraying Me is near!”

Because of the extraordinary greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me— to keep me from exalting myself!Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might leave me.And He has said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in distresses, in persecutions, in difficulties, in behalf of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

And forgive us our sins, For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation.’ ”

Also keep Your servant back from presumptuous sins; Let them not rule over me; Then I will be innocent, And I will be blameless of great wrongdoing.

Because you have kept My word of perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of the testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who live on the earth.

My steps have held to Your paths. My feet have not slipped.

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.So resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brothers and sisters who are in the world.

Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that You would greatly bless me and extend my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm so that it would not hurt me!” And God brought about what he requested.

Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me.

Keep deception and lies far from me, Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion,So that I will not be full and deny You and say,“ Who is the Lord?” And that I will not become impoverished and steal, And profane the name of my God.

Sustain me according to Your word, that I may live; And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.Sustain me so that I may be safe, That I may have regard for Your statutes continually.
