On reaching the place, he said to them,“ Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”

When they reached the place, Jesus spoke.“ Pray that you won’t fall into sin when you are tempted,” he said to them.

And he said to Peter,“ So, could you not watch with me one hour?Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed,“ My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.”And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.So, leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same words again.Then he came to the disciples and said to them,“ Sleep and take your rest later on. See, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand.”

The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”And again he went away and prayed, saying the same words.And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy, and they did not know what to answer him.And he came the third time and said to them,“ Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? It is enough; the hour has come. The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand.”

So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited.Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me.But he said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.”

Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.

Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

My steps have held fast to your paths; my feet have not slipped.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.

Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.

Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me.

Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me,lest I be full and deny you and say,“ Who is the Lord?” or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God.

Uphold me according to your promise, that I may live, and let me not be put to shame in my hope!Hold me up, that I may be safe and have regard for your statutes continually!
