Then, accompanied by the disciples, Jesus left the upstairs room and went as usual to the Mount of Olives.

After saying these things, Jesus crossed the Kidron Valley with his disciples and entered a grove of olive trees.Judas, the betrayer, knew this place, because Jesus had often gone there with his disciples.

As Jesus and the disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to the town of Bethphage on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent two of them on ahead.

So Jesus came to Jerusalem and went into the Temple. After looking around carefully at everything, he left because it was late in the afternoon. Then he returned to Bethany with the twelve disciples.

Then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives.

They went to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and Jesus said,“ Sit here while I go and pray.”He took Peter, James, and John with him, and he became deeply troubled and distressed.He told them,“ My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

That evening Jesus and the disciples left the city.

Then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives.

Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives across the valley from the Temple. Peter, James, John, and Andrew came to him privately and asked him,

Then Jesus went with them to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and he said,“ Sit here while I go over there to pray.”He took Peter and Zebedee’s two sons, James and John, and he became anguished and distressed.He told them,“ My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”
