They said,“ Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them,“ It is enough.”

The disciples said,“ See, Lord, here are two swords.”“ That’s enough!” he replied.

The disciples said,“ See, Lord, here are two swords.”“ Two swords are enough!” he replied.

And they said,“ Look, Lord, here are two swords.” And he said to them,“ It is enough.”

“ Look, Lord,” they replied,“ we have two swords among us.”“ That’s enough,” he said.

“ Lord,” they said,“ look, here are two swords.”“ That is enough!” he told them.

So they said,“ Lord, look, here are two swords.” And He said to them,“ It is enough.”

And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

“ Lord,” they said,“ look, here are two swords.”“ Enough of that!” He told them.

And they said, Lord, behold, here[ are] two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

So they said,“ Look, Lord, here are two swords.” Then he told them,“ It is enough.”

They said,“ Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them,“ That is enough.”

Then Jesus* said to him,“ Put your sword back into its place; for all those who take up the sword will perish by the sword.Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled, which say that it must happen this way?”

Jesus answered,“ My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.”

When those who were around Him saw what was going to happen, they said,“ Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh,for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace;in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints,

But since we are of the day, let’s be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.

So resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brothers and sisters who are in the world.
