Jesus answered,“ I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me.”

Then He said,“ I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.”

And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, until thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

Jesus replied,“ I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know me.”

He said,“ I tell you, Peter, the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times.”

“ I assure you,” Jesus said to him,“ today, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times!”

Jesus replied,“ Will you lay down your life for Me? I assure you: A rooster will not crow until you have denied Me three times.

“ I assure you,” Jesus said to him,“ tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times!”

Then he started to curse and to swear with an oath,“ I do not know the man!” Immediately a rooster crowed,

Peter then denied it again. Immediately a rooster crowed.

Then he started to curse and to swear with an oath,“ I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”Immediately a rooster crowed a second time, and Peter remembered when Jesus had spoken the word to him,“ Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” When he thought about it, he began to weep.
