Then when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these do?” He replied,“ Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” Jesus told him,“ Feed my lambs.”Jesus said a second time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He replied,“ Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” Jesus told him,“ Shepherd my sheep.”Jesus said a third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was distressed that Jesus asked him a third time,“ Do you love me?” and said,“ Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus replied,“ Feed my sheep.

Who is the one who will condemn? Christ is the one who died( and more than that, he was raised), who is at the right hand of God, and who also is interceding for us.

I am praying on behalf of them. I am not praying on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you have given me, because they belong to you.Everything I have belongs to you, and everything you have belongs to me, and I have been glorified by them.I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them safe in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one.

( My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.) But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous One,and he himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for our sins but also for the whole world.

Be sober and alert. Your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion, is on the prowl looking for someone to devour.Resist him, strong in your faith, because you know that your brothers and sisters throughout the world are enduring the same kinds of suffering.And, after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Therefore, get your minds ready for action by being fully sober, and set your hope completely on the grace that will be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

who by God’s power are protected through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

who comforts us in all our troubles so that we may be able to comfort those experiencing any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow toward us, so also our comfort through Christ overflows to you.But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort that you experience in your patient endurance of the same sufferings that we also suffer.

Let me again experience the joy of your deliverance! Sustain me by giving me the desire to obey!Then I will teach rebels your merciful ways, and sinners will turn to you.

Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in a time of testing fall away.

Therefore, strengthen your listless hands and your weak knees,and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but be healed.

I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but that you keep them safe from the evil one.They do not belong to the world just as I do not belong to the world.Set them apart in the truth; your word is truth.Just as you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world.And I set myself apart on their behalf, so that they too may be truly set apart.“ I am not praying only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believe in me through their testimony,that they will all be one, just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I pray that they will be in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me.

See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God, that no one be like a bitter root springing up and causing trouble, and through him many become defiled.

Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said:“ Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.

even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I was treated with mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief,and our Lord’s grace was abundant, bringing faith and love in Christ Jesus.This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance:“ Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”– and I am the worst of them!But here is why I was treated with mercy: so that in me as the worst, Christ Jesus could demonstrate his utmost patience, as an example for those who are going to believe in him for eternal life.

Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all– how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?

So he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out,

From Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those temporarily residing abroad( in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, the province of Asia, and Bithynia) who are chosen

Therefore, brothers and sisters, make every effort to be sure of your calling and election. For by doing this you will never stumble into sin.For thus an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be richly provided for you.Therefore, I intend to remind you constantly of these things even though you know them and are well established in the truth that you now have.

In a little while the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too.

and said,“ I tell you the truth, unless you turn around and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven!

Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard that you do not get led astray by the error of these unprincipled men and fall from your firm grasp on the truth.But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the honor both now and on that eternal day.

They have strayed from the truth by saying that the resurrection has already occurred, and they are undermining some people’s faith.

Much more then, because we have now been declared righteous by his blood, we will be saved through him from God’s wrath.For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life?

Then the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him,“ Before a rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.”And he went outside and wept bitterly.

Therefore, dear friends, since you are waiting for these things, strive to be found at peace, without spot or blemish, when you come into his presence.

But go, tell his disciples, even Peter, that he is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you.”

Immediately a rooster crowed a second time. Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said to him:“ Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” And he broke down and wept.

The LORD said to Satan,“ May the LORD rebuke you, Satan! May the LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Isn’t this man like a burning stick snatched from the fire?”Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood there before the angel.The angel spoke up to those standing all around,“ Remove his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua,“ I have freely forgiven your iniquity and will dress you in fine clothing.”

When I refused to confess my sin, my whole body wasted away, while I groaned in pain all day long.For day and night you tormented me; you tried to destroy me in the intense heat of summer.( Selah)Then I confessed my sin; I no longer covered up my wrongdoing. I said,“ I will confess my rebellious acts to the LORD.” And then you forgave my sins.( Selah)For this reason every one of your faithful followers should pray to you while there is a window of opportunity. Certainly when the surging water rises, it will not reach them.
