“西门，西门，撒但设法要得着你们，好筛你们像筛麦子一样；

西門、西門、爾其注意！沙殫欲簸汰爾曹、有如簸麥子、

“ Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat.

“ Simon, Simon! Satan has asked to sift all of you disciples like wheat.

“ Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat,

“ Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat.

“ Simon, Simon, look out. Satan has asked to sift you like wheat.

“ Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to sift you men like wheat;

Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat:

“ Simon, Simon, look out! Satan has asked to sift you like wheat.

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired[ to have] you, that he may sift[ you] as wheat:

“ Simon, Simon, pay attention! Satan has demanded to have you all, to sift you like wheat,

The Lord said,“ Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have all of you, that he might sift you as wheat,

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.And the Lord said to Satan,“ From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said,“ From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”Then the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”So Satan answered the Lord and said,“ Does Job fear God for nothing?Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven,“ Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

“ For surely I will command, And will sift the house of Israel among all nations, As grain is sifted in a sieve; Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground.

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.And the Lord said to Satan,“ From where do you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said,“ From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”Then the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.”So Satan answered the Lord and said,“ Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life.But stretch out Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”

And Jesus answered and said to her,“ Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.

Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
