Jesus said to them,“ Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus,“ Blessed is the one who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.”

For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said,“ Take this and divide it among you.For I tell you I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”

To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations—that one‘ will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’— just as I have received authority from my Father.

I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

They are like sheep and are destined to die; death will be their shepherd( but the upright will prevail over them in the morning). Their forms will decay in the grave, far from their princely mansions.

To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.

All my grandfather’s descendants deserved nothing but death from my lord the king, but you gave your servant a place among those who eat at your table. So what right do I have to make any more appeals to the king?”

Then the angel said to me,“ Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added,“ These are the true words of God.”

Then the king summoned Ziba, Saul’s steward, and said to him,“ I have given your master’s grandson everything that belonged to Saul and his family.You and your sons and your servants are to farm the land for him and bring in the crops, so that your master’s grandson may be provided for. And Mephibosheth, grandson of your master, will always eat at my table.”( Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.)

It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them.

Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads.
