Jesus answered them,“ Didn’t I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?”Now he spoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, for it was he who would betray him, being one of the twelve.

For it was not an enemy who insulted me, then I could have endured it. Neither was it he who hated me who raised himself up against me, then I would have hidden myself from him.But it was you, a man like me, my companion, and my familiar friend.We took sweet fellowship together. We walked in God’s house with company.

He answered,“ He who dipped his hand with me in the dish will betray me.

But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.

Then Jesus said to him,“ Get behind me, Satan! For it is written,‘ You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’”
