Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well.You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had,

They said to him,“ Permit one of us to sit at your right hand and the other at your left in your glory.”But Jesus said to them,“ You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I experience?”They said to him,“ We are able.” Then Jesus said to them,“ You will drink the cup I drink, and you will be baptized with the baptism I experience,but to sit at my right or at my left is not mine to give. It is for those for whom it has been prepared.”Now when the other ten heard this, they became angry with James and John.

In the same way, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.And God will exalt you in due time, if you humble yourselves under his mighty hand

Be devoted to one another with mutual love, showing eagerness in honoring one another.

Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.
