The Son of Man will go as it has been decreed. But woe to that man who betrays him!”

For I handed down to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

“ Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit foretold by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.For he was counted among us and received his share in this ministry.”( Now this man acquired a field with the price of his wickedness, and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his intestines gushed out.And it became known to all the residents of Jerusalem; as a result that field was called Hakeldama in their own language, that is, Field of Blood.)“ For it is written in the book of Psalms:‘ May his residence be made desolate, And may there be none living in it’; and,‘ May another take his office.’Therefore it is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us—beginning with the baptism of John until the day that He was taken up from us— one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”So they put forward two men, Joseph called Barsabbas( who was also called Justus), and Matthias.And they prayed and said,“ You, Lord, who know the hearts of all people, show which one of these two You have chosento occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”

And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and left; and he went away and hanged himself.

So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place,as to whether the Christ was to suffer, and whether, as first from the resurrection of the dead, He would proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.”

Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled, which say that it must happen this way?”

And I will make enemies Of you and the woman, And of your offspring and her Descendant; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise Him on the heel.”

and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

For those who live in Jerusalem, and their rulers, recognizing neither Him nor the declarations of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled these by condemning Him.And though they found no grounds for putting Him to death, they asked Pilate that He be executed.

Appoint a wicked person over him, And may an accuser stand at his right hand.When he is judged, may he come out guilty, And may his prayer become sin.May his days be few; May another take his office.May his children be fatherless, And his wife a widow.May his children wander about and beg; And may they seek sustenance far from their ruined homes.May the creditor seize everything that he has, And may strangers plunder the product of his labor.May there be none to extend kindness to him, Nor any to be gracious to his fatherless children.May his descendants be eliminated; May their name be wiped out in a following generation.May the guilt of his fathers be remembered before the Lord, And do not let the sin of his mother be wiped out.May they be before the Lord continually, So that He may eliminate their memory from the earth;

Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of dry ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we would look at Him, Nor an appearance that we would take pleasure in Him.He was despised and abandoned by men, A man of great pain and familiar with sickness; And like one from whom people hide their faces, He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.However, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore, And our pains that He carried; Yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted, Struck down by God, and humiliated.But He was pierced for our offenses, He was crushed for our wrongdoings; The punishment for our well being was laid upon Him, And by His wounds we are healed.All of us, like sheep, have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the wrongdoing of us all To fall on Him.He was oppressed and afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off from the land of the living For the wrongdoing of my people, to whom the blow was due?And His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.But the Lord desired To crush Him, causing Him grief; If He renders Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, For He will bear their wrongdoings.Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the plunder with the strong, Because He poured out His life unto death, And was counted with wrongdoers; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the wrongdoers.

For it is not an enemy who taunts me, Then I could endure it; Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me, Then I could hide myself from him.But it is you, a man my equal, My companion and my confidant;We who had sweet fellowship together, Walked in the house of God among the commotion.May death come deceitfully upon them; May they go down alive to Sheol, For evil is in their dwelling, in their midst.

May your heart live forever!All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations will worship before You.For the kingdom is the Lord’s And He rules over the nations.All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship, All those who go down to the dust will kneel before Him, Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.A posterity will serve Him; It will be told of the Lord to the coming generation.They will come and will declare His righteousness To a people who will be born, that He has performed it.

who by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, said,‘ Why were the nations insolent, And the peoples plotting in vain?The kings of the earth took their stand, And the rulers were gathered together Against the Lord and against His Christ.’For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,to do whatever Your hand and purpose predestined to occur.

“ Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the wrongdoing, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for guilt, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy Place.So you are to know and understand that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, until Messiah the Prince, there will be seven weeks and sixty two weeks; it will be built again, with streets and moat, even in times of distress.Then after the sixty two weeks, the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.

While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name, which You have given Me; and I guarded them, and not one of them perished except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.

“ Awake, sword, against My Shepherd, And against the Man, My Associate,” Declares the Lord of armies.“ Strike the Shepherd and the sheep will be scattered; And I will turn My hand against the little ones.

And then He said to them,“ You foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to come into His glory?”Then beginning with Moses and with all the Prophets, He explained to them the things written about Himself in all the Scriptures.

seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.
