錫安哪，我因與你立約的血，將你中間被擄而囚的人從無水的坑中釋放出來。

摩西將血灑在百姓身上，說：「你看！這是立約的血，是耶和華按這一切話與你們立約的憑據。」

但願賜平安的神，就是那憑永約之血、使羣羊的大牧人－我主耶穌從死裏復活的神，

因為這是我立約的血，為多人流出來，使罪得赦。

他叫我們能承當這新約的執事，不是憑着字句，乃是憑着精意；因為那字句是叫人死，精意是叫人活。

因為人死了，遺命才有效力，若留遺命的尚在，那遺命還有用處嗎？

並新約的中保耶穌，以及所灑的血；這血所說的比亞伯的血所說的更美。

如今耶穌所得的職任是更美的，正如他作更美之約的中保；這約原是憑更美之應許立的。那前約若沒有瑕疵，就無處尋求後約了。所以主指責他的百姓說：日子將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新約，不像我拉着他們祖宗的手，領他們出埃及的時候，與他們所立的約。因為他們不恆心守我的約，我也不理他們。這是主說的。主又說：那些日子以後，我與以色列家所立的約乃是這樣：我要將我的律法放在他們裏面，寫在他們心上；我要作他們的神；他們要作我的子民。他們不用各人教導自己的鄉鄰和自己的弟兄，說：你該認識主；因為他們從最小的到至大的，都必認識我。我要寬恕他們的不義，不再記念他們的罪愆。既說新約，就以前約為舊了；但那漸舊漸衰的，就必快歸無有了。

我們所祝福的杯，豈不是同領基督的血嗎？我們所擘開的餅，豈不是同領基督的身體嗎？我們雖多，仍是一個餅，一個身體，因為我們都是分受這一個餅。你們看屬肉體的以色列人，那吃祭物的豈不是在祭壇上有分嗎？我是怎麼說呢？豈是說祭偶像之物算得甚麼呢？或說偶像算得甚麼呢？我乃是說，外邦人所獻的祭是祭鬼，不是祭神。我不願意你們與鬼相交。你們不能喝主的杯又喝鬼的杯，不能吃主的筵席又吃鬼的筵席。

為此，他作了新約的中保，既然受死贖了人在前約之時所犯的罪過，便叫蒙召之人得着所應許永遠的產業。

耶和華說：「日子將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新約，
