饭后，照样拿起杯来，说：“这杯是用我的血所立的新约，你们每逢喝的时候，应当这样行，为的是记念我。”

锡安哪！至于你，因着我与你立约的血，我把你中间被囚禁的人从无水的坑里释放出来。

摩西就取了血来，洒在人民的身上，说：“看哪，这是立约的血，这约是耶和华按着这一切话与你们立的。”

愿赐平安的神，就是那凭着永约的血，把群羊的大牧人我们的主耶稣，从死人中领出来的那一位，

这是我的血，是为立约的，为许多人流出来，使罪得赦。

他使我们有资格作新约的仆役，这新约不是从仪文来的，而是从圣灵来的；因为仪文会使人死，而圣灵却使人活。

因为人死了，遗嘱才能确立，立遗嘱的人还活着的时候，遗嘱决不生效。

有新约的中保耶稣，还有他所洒的血。这血所传的信息比亚伯的血所传的更美。

但是现在耶稣得了更尊贵的职分，正好像他是更美的约的中保，这约是凭着更美的应许立的。如果头一个约没有缺点，就没有寻求另一个约的必要了。可是神指责他们，说：“看哪，主说，日子要到了，我要与以色列家和犹大家订立新约。这新约不像从前我拉他们祖先的手，领他们出埃及的日子与他们所立的约。因为他们没有遵守我的约，我就不理会他们。这是主说的。主说：‘因为在那些日子以后，我要与以色列家所立的约是这样：我要把我的律法放在他们的心思里面，写在他们的心上。我要作他们的神，他们要作我的子民。他们各人必不用教导自己的邻居，和自己的同胞，说：你要认识主。因为所有的人，从最小到最大的，都必认识我。我也要宽恕他们的不义，决不再记着他们的罪恶。’”神既然说到新的约，就是把前约当作旧的了；那变成陈旧衰老的，就快要消逝了。

我们为福杯祝祷的时候，难道不是共享基督的血吗？我们擘饼的时候，难道不是共享基督的身体吗？因为事实上只有一个饼，我们人数虽多，还是一个身体，因为我们都是分享同一个饼。你们看看按肉身是以色列人，那些吃祭物的不就是与祭坛有分吗？我说的是什么意思呢？偶像算得什么，还是祭过偶像的食物算得什么？我是说，教外人所祭的是鬼，不是献给神；我却不愿意你们与鬼来往。你们不能喝主的杯又喝鬼的杯，你们不能参加主的筵席又参加鬼的筵席。

因此，他作了新约的中保，藉着他的死，使人在前约之下的过犯得到救赎，就叫那些蒙召的人，得着永远基业的应许。

“看哪！日子快到（这是耶和华的宣告），我要与以色列家和犹大家订立新的约。
