不过我把这些事告诉了你们，是为了当事情发生的时候，你们会记起我对你们说过了。我当初没有告诉你们这些事，是因为我一直与你们在一起。

有主的一位天使对腓利说：“你起来，顺着那条从耶路撒冷下到加沙的路，往南走。”那里是旷野。腓利就起身去了。看哪，有一个埃塞俄比亚人，是个太监，是埃塞俄比亚坎蒂丝女王的大臣，统管她整个国库。他到耶路撒冷去敬拜后，在回去的时候，坐在他的马车里诵读先知以赛亚的书。圣灵对腓利说：“你上前去，贴近那马车走。”

耶稣说：“你们进城去，到某人那里，告诉他：‘老师说，我的时候快到了。我要在你那里与我的门徒们一起守逾越节。’”门徒们就依照耶稣所吩咐的去做，预备了逾越节的晚餐。

今天你离开我以后，将在本雅明境内的谢撒，瑞秋的坟墓附近遇见两个人。他们会对你说：‘你去寻找的那几头母驴已经找到了。看哪，你父亲已经不操心驴的事，反而为你们担忧，说：“我儿子的情况，我该怎么办呢？”’“你从那里经过再往前走，来到它泊的橡树，在那里会遇见三个上伯特利拜见神的人，一个带着三只小山羊，一个带着三块饼，一个带着一皮袋酒。他们会向你问安，然后给你两块饼，你要从他们手中接过来。“此后你要去神的山，那里有非利士的驻军。你到那城的时候，会遇见一队先知正从高所下来，他们都在说预言；在他们前面有弹里拉琴的、击鼓的、吹笛的、弹竖琴的。耶和华的灵会大大临到你，你就会与他们一同说预言，转变为另一个人。这些征兆临到你的时候，你手所当做的，只管去做，因为神与你同在。

快到伯法其和伯大尼，那叫做“橄榄园”的山，耶稣派了两个门徒，说：“你们到对面的村子里去。你们一进村，就会发现一头驴驹拴在那里，是从来没有人骑过的。你们把它解开牵过来。如果有人问你们为什么解开它，你们就这样说‘主需要它。’”被差派的人去了，发现事情正如耶稣所告诉他们的。在他们解开驴驹的时候，驴的主人们问他们：“你们为什么解开这驴驹呢？”他们就说：“主需要它。”他们牵着驴驹到耶稣那里，把自己的外衣搭在驴驹上，扶着耶稣骑上去。耶稣前行的时候，人们把自己的外衣铺在路上。耶稣已经快到橄榄山的下坡附近的时候，全体门徒为了他们所看见的一切神迹，开始欢乐起来，大声赞美神，说：“奉主名而来的那位君王，是蒙祝福的！在天上有和平，在至高之处有荣耀！”人群中有一些法利赛人对耶稣说：“老师，责备你的门徒吧！”耶稣回答说：“我告诉你们：这些人如果不做声，石头都会呼喊起来！”
