He replied,“ As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters,

我把這些事提前告訴你們，是要叫你們到時候可以想起我曾跟你們講過這些事。我以前沒有告訴你們，那是因為我還跟你們在一起。

有一天，主的天使對腓利說：「起來，向南走，往耶路撒冷通往迦薩的路去。」那條路很荒涼。腓利立刻動身，結果在那條路上遇見一個衣索匹亞的太監。他是衣索匹亞女王甘大基手下的重臣，負責管理國庫。他剛從耶路撒冷參加敬拜回來，正坐在車上誦讀以賽亞先知的書。聖靈吩咐腓利：「趕上去，貼近那輛馬車！」

耶穌說：「你們進城去，到某人那裡對他說，『老師說祂的時候到了，祂要與門徒在你家中過逾越節。』」門徒照耶穌的吩咐準備了逾越節的晚餐。

你離開我以後，會在便雅憫境內的泄撒、靠近拉結的墓旁遇見兩個人。他們會告訴你，走失的驢已經找到，現在你父親不再為驢擔心，反為你擔心，說，『我該怎樣找到我的兒子呢？』你繼續往前走，會在他泊的橡樹那裡遇見三個人。他們要到伯特利去敬拜上帝，一個牽著三隻山羊羔，一個帶著三個餅，一個拿著一皮袋酒。他們會問候你，送你兩個餅，你會把餅收下。此後，你會去上帝的山，那裡有非利士人的駐軍。你一進城，就會遇見一群先知從邱壇下來，前面有人鼓瑟、敲鼓、吹笛、彈琴，先知們會說預言。耶和華的靈會降在你身上，你就會跟他們一起說預言，那時，你會變成另一個人。這些兆頭臨到你的時候，你就要見機行事，因為上帝與你同在。

快到橄欖山附近的伯法其和伯大尼時，耶穌派了兩個門徒，說：「你們去前面的村莊，進村的時候，必看見一頭從來沒有人騎過的驢駒拴在那裡，你們把牠解開牽來。若有人問你們為什麼把牠解開，就說，『主要用牠。』」兩個門徒出去後，所遇見的情形正如耶穌所說的。當他們解開驢駒時，主人果然問他們：「你們為什麼解開驢駒？」他們說：「主要用牠。」他們牽著驢駒回去見耶穌，又把自己的外衣搭在驢背上，扶耶穌上驢。耶穌騎著驢前行，眾人用外衣為祂鋪路。祂正走下橄欖山，將近耶路撒冷的時候，眾門徒因為以往所見的神蹟奇事，就歡騰起來，高聲讚美上帝：「奉主名來的王當受稱頌！天上有平安，至高處有榮耀！」百姓中有幾個法利賽人對耶穌說：「老師，你要責備你的門徒。」耶穌說：「我告訴你們，如果他們閉口不言，這些石頭都要呼喊了！」
