孩子們哪，你們要住在基督裏面。這樣，他若顯現，我們就可以坦然無懼；當他來臨的時候，在他面前不至於慚愧。

所以，你們要警醒，因為那日子，那時辰，你們不知道。」

你們要警醒，在信仰上要站穩，要勇敢，要剛強。

耶穌對門徒講了一個比喻，為了要他們常常禱告，不可灰心。

你們要謹慎，要警醒，因為你們不知道那時刻幾時來到。

我對你們所說的話，也是對眾人說的：要警醒！」

所以，你們要警醒，因為不知道你們的主哪一天來到。

總要警醒禱告，免得陷入試探。你們心靈固然願意，肉體卻軟弱了。」

願那能保守你們不失腳，使你們無瑕無疵、歡歡喜喜站在他榮耀之前的、

萬物的結局近了。所以你們要謹慎自守，要警醒禱告。

主人來了，看見僕人警醒，那些僕人就有福了。我實在告訴你們，主人會叫他們坐席，自己束上腰帶，前來伺候他們。他或是半夜來，或是天亮之前來，看見僕人這樣，那些僕人就有福了。你們要知道，一家的主人若知道賊甚麼時候來，就不容賊挖穿房屋。你們也要預備，因為在你們想不到的時候，人子就來了。」

所以，要拿起上帝所賜的全副軍裝，好在邪惡的日子能抵擋仇敵，並且完成了一切後還能站立得住。所以，要站穩了，用真理當作帶子束腰，用公義當作護心鏡遮胸，

他豈以全能者為樂，隨時求告上帝呢？

不住地禱告，

這正是上帝公義判斷的明證，使你們配得上他的國，你們就是為這國受苦。既然上帝是公義的，他必以患難報復那加患難給你們的人，

他來的日子，誰能當得起呢？他顯現的時候，誰能立得住呢？因為他如煉金匠的火，如漂洗者的鹼。

要靠着聖靈，隨時多方禱告祈求，並要為此警醒不倦，為眾聖徒祈求。也要為我祈求，讓我有口才，能放膽開口講明福音的奧祕，

他是個虔誠人，他和全家都敬畏上帝。他多多賙濟百姓，常常向上帝禱告。

你們要恆切禱告，在禱告中警醒感恩。

至於你，凡事要謹慎，忍受苦難，做傳福音的工作，盡你的職分。

因此，當審判的時候惡人必站立不住，罪人在義人的會眾中也是如此。

惟有配得那要來的世代和從死人中復活的人不娶也不嫁。
