小子們哪，你們要住在主裏面。這樣，他若顯現，我們就可以坦然無懼；當他來的時候，在他面前也不至於慚愧。

所以，你們要警醒；因為那日子，那時辰，你們不知道。」

你們務要警醒，在真道上站立得穩，要作大丈夫，要剛強。

耶穌設一個比喻，是要人常常禱告，不可灰心。

你們要謹慎，警醒祈禱，因為你們不曉得那日期幾時來到。

我對你們所說的話，也是對眾人說：要警醒！」

所以，你們要警醒，因為不知道你們的主是哪一天來到。

總要警醒禱告，免得入了迷惑。你們心靈固然願意，肉體卻軟弱了。」

那能保守你們不失腳、叫你們無瑕無疵、歡歡喜喜站在他榮耀之前的我們的救主－獨一的神，

萬物的結局近了。所以，你們要謹慎自守，警醒禱告。

主人來了，看見僕人警醒，那僕人就有福了。我實在告訴你們，主人必叫他們坐席，自己束上帶，進前伺候他們。或是二更天來，或是三更天來，看見僕人這樣，那僕人就有福了。家主若知道賊甚麼時候來，就必警醒，不容賊挖透房屋，這是你們所知道的。你們也要預備；因為你們想不到的時候，人子就來了。」

所以，要拿起神所賜的全副軍裝，好在磨難的日子抵擋仇敵，並且成就了一切，還能站立得住。所以要站穩了，用真理當作帶子束腰，用公義當作護心鏡遮胸，

他豈以全能者為樂，隨時求告神呢？

不住地禱告，

這正是神公義判斷的明證，叫你們可算配得神的國；你們就是為這國受苦。神既是公義的，就必將患難報應那加患難給你們的人，

他來的日子，誰能當得起呢？他顯現的時候，誰能立得住呢？因為他如煉金之人的火，如漂布之人的鹼。

靠着聖靈，隨時多方禱告祈求；並要在此警醒不倦，為眾聖徒祈求，也為我祈求，使我得着口才，能以放膽開口講明福音的奧祕，

他是個虔誠人，他和全家都敬畏神，多多賙濟百姓，常常禱告神。

你們要恆切禱告，在此警醒感恩。

你卻要凡事謹慎，忍受苦難，做傳道的工夫，盡你的職分。

因此，當審判的時候，惡人必站立不住；罪人在義人的會中也是如此。

惟有算為配得那世界，與從死裏復活的人也不娶也不嫁；
