你的兒女被交給別國的民；你的眼目終日切望，甚至失明，你的手卻無能為力。你地所產的和你勞力所得的，必被你所不認識的百姓吃盡。你天天只被欺負，受壓制，甚至你因眼中所見的景象而瘋狂。

眾星要從天上墜落，天上的萬象都要震動。

如果我們領受真理的知識以後仍故意犯罪，就不再有贖罪的祭物，惟有戰戰兢兢等候審判和那將吞滅眾敵人的烈火了。

但主的日子要像賊一樣來到；那日，天必在轟然一聲中消失，天體都要被烈火熔化，地和地上的萬物都要燒盡。既然這一切都要如此消失，你們處世為人必須聖潔敬虔，等候並催促上帝的日子來到。因為在那日，天要被火燒而消滅，天體都要被烈火熔化。
