“ And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth nations will be in distress, anxious over the roaring of the sea and the surging waves.

“ There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.

“ There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. The nations of the earth will be in terrible pain. They will be puzzled by the roaring and tossing of the sea.

“ And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves,

“ And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides.

“ Then there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and there will be anguish on the earth among nations bewildered by the roaring of the sea and the waves.

“ There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,

And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows;

“ Then there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and there will be anguish on the earth among nations bewildered by the roaring sea and waves.

Indeed the stars in the sky and their constellations no longer give out their light; the sun is darkened as soon as it rises, and the moon does not shine.

I will produce portents both in the sky and on the earth– blood, fire, and columns of smoke.The sunlight will be turned to darkness and the moon to the color of blood, before the day of the LORD comes– that great and terrible day!

“ At that time Michael, the great prince who watches over your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress unlike any other from the nation’s beginning up to that time. But at that time your own people, all those whose names are found written in the book, will escape.

When I extinguish you, I will cover the sky; I will darken its stars. I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon will not shine.I will darken all the lights in the sky over you, and I will darken your land, declares the sovereign LORD.

Then I looked when the Lamb opened the sixth seal, and a huge earthquake took place; the sun became as black as sackcloth made of hair, and the full moon became blood red;and the stars in the sky fell to the earth like a fig tree dropping its unripe figs when shaken by a fierce wind.The sky was split apart like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; when it comes, the heavens will disappear with a horrific noise, and the celestial bodies will melt away in a blaze, and the earth and every deed done on it will be laid bare.Since all these things are to melt away in this manner, what sort of people must we be, conducting our lives in holiness and godliness,while waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God? Because of this day, the heavens will be burned up and dissolve, and the celestial bodies will melt away in a blaze!

The full moon will be covered up, the bright sun will be darkened; for the LORD who commands armies will rule on Mount Zion in Jerusalem in the presence of his assembly, in majestic splendor.

I am the LORD your God, who churns up the sea so that its waves surge. The LORD who commands armies is his name!

Then everyone will see the Son of Man arriving in the clouds with great power and glory.

So I will shake the heavens, and the earth will shake loose from its foundation, because of the fury of the LORD who commands armies, in the day he vents his raging anger.Like a frightened gazelle or a sheep with no shepherd, each will turn toward home, each will run to his homeland.

Then I saw a large white throne and the one who was seated on it; the earth and the heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them.

“ But in those days, after that suffering, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light;

And I will perform wonders in the sky above and miraculous signs on the earth below, blood and fire and clouds of smoke.

Now when it was noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon.

In that day,” says the sovereign LORD,“ I will make the sun set at noon, and make the earth dark in the middle of the day.I will turn your festivals into funerals, and all your songs into funeral dirges. I will make everyone wear funeral clothes and cause every head to be shaved bald. I will make you mourn as if you had lost your only son; when it ends it will indeed have been a bitter day.

So I say:“ Don’t look at me! I am weeping bitterly. Don’t try to console me concerning the destruction of my defenseless people.”For the sovereign master, the LORD who commands armies, has planned a day of panic, defeat, and confusion. In the Valley of Vision people shout and cry out to the hill.

The waves roar, O LORD, the waves roar, the waves roar and crash.Above the sound of the surging water, and the mighty waves of the sea, the LORD sits enthroned in majesty.

when its waves crash and foam, and the mountains shake before the surging sea.( Selah)

At that time they will growl over their prey, it will sound like sea waves crashing against rocks. One will look out over the land and see the darkness of disaster, clouds will turn the light into darkness.

“ Immediately after the suffering of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be shaken.

Now from noon until three, darkness came over all the land.

“ I looked at the land and saw that it was an empty wasteland. I looked up at the sky, and its light had vanished.

The best of them is like a thorn; the most godly among them are more dangerous than a row of thorn bushes. The day you try to avoid by posting watchmen– your appointed time of punishment– is on the way, and then you will experience confusion.
