耶穌曰、我亦不告爾以何權行是矣、○

耶穌曰、我亦不以何權行是告爾、○

耶穌曰、我亦不告爾、我以何權行此諸事、○

耶穌曰：『然則予亦不願告爾、憑何權以行此矣。』

Jesus said,“ Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”

Jesus said,“ Then I won’t tell you by what authority I am doing these things either.”

And Jesus said to them,“ Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

And Jesus responded,“ Then I won’t tell you by what authority I do these things.”

Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be just like him.Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes. (niv)

So they answered Jesus,“ We don’t know.” Then he said,“ Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things. (niv)

and if I asked you, you would not answer. (niv)

He thwarts the plans of the crafty, so that their hands achieve no success.He catches the wise in their craftiness, and the schemes of the wily are swept away. (niv)

So they answered Jesus,“ We don’t know.” Jesus said,“ Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.” (niv)

A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away. (niv)

Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” (niv)
