你们法利赛人有祸了！因为你们喜爱会堂里的首位，又喜爱人在街市上问你们的安。

耶稣在教训之间，说：“你们要防备文士；他们好穿长衣游行，喜爱人在街市上问他们的安，又喜爱会堂里的高位，筵席上的首座。

耶稣见所请的客拣择首位，就用比喻对他们说：

凡事不可结党，不可贪图虚浮的荣耀；只要存心谦卑，各人看别人比自己强。各人不要单顾自己的事，也要顾别人的事。你们当以基督耶稣的心为心。

这时，有几万人聚集，甚至彼此践踏。耶稣开讲，先对门徒说：“你们要防备法利赛人的酵，就是假冒为善。

耶稣对他们说：“你们要谨慎，防备法利赛人和撒都该人的酵。”

爱弟兄，要彼此亲热；恭敬人，要彼此推让。

耶稣嘱咐他们说：“你们要谨慎，防备法利赛人的酵和希律的酵。”

你也要防备他，因为他极力敌挡了我们的话。

人的高傲必使他卑下；心里谦逊的，必得尊荣。

他们一切所做的事都是要叫人看见，所以将佩戴的经文做宽了，衣裳的繸子做长了，喜爱筵席上的首座，会堂里的高位，又喜爱人在街市上问他安，称呼他拉比。
