Then spake Jesus to the multitudes and to his disciples,saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat:

And he called unto him the multitude with his disciples, and said unto them, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

And in his teaching he said, Beware of the scribes, who desire to walk in long robes, and to have salutations in the marketplaces,and chief seats in the synagogues, and chief places at feasts:
