Jesus said to her,“ I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even if they die.And whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

You died. Now your life is hidden with Christ in God.Christ is your life. When he appears again, you also will appear with him in heaven’s glory.

When he died, he died once and for all time. He did this to break the power of sin. Now that he lives, he lives in the power of God.In the same way, consider yourselves to be dead as far as sin is concerned. Now you believe in Christ Jesus. So consider yourselves to be alive as far as God is concerned.

It is true that Christ was nailed to the cross because he was weak. But Christ lives by God’s power. In the same way, we share his weakness. But by God’s power we will live with Christ as we serve you.

We don’t live for ourselves only. And we don’t die for ourselves only.If we live, we live to honor the Lord. If we die, we die to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.Christ died and came back to life. He did this to become the Lord of both the dead and the living.

So“ they are in front of the throne of God. They serve him day and night in his temple. The one who sits on the throne will be with them to keep them safe.‘ Never again will they be hungry. Never again will they be thirsty. The sun will not beat down on them.’( Isaiah 49:10) The heat of the desert will not harm them.The Lamb, who is at the center of the area around the throne, will be their shepherd.‘ He will lead them to springs of living water.’( Isaiah 49:10)‘ And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’ ”( Isaiah 25:8)

Lord, you alone are everything I need. You make my life secure.I am very pleased with what you have given me. I am very happy with what I’ve received from you.I will praise the Lord. He gives me good advice. Even at night my heart teaches me.I keep my eyes always on the Lord. He is at my right hand. So I will always be secure.So my heart is glad. Joy is on my tongue. My body also will be secure.You will not leave me in the place of the dead. You will not let your faithful one rot away.You always show me the path of life. You will fill me with joy when I am with you. You will make me happy forever at your right hand.

I will honor you, my God the King. I will praise your name for ever and ever.Every day I will praise you. I will praise your name for ever and ever.

How can the temple of the true God and the statues of other gods agree? We are the temple of the living God. God has said,“ I will live with them. I will walk among them. I will be their God. And they will be my people.”( Leviticus 26:12; Jeremiah 32:38; Ezekiel 37:27)

You who have respect for the Lord, praise him! All you people of Jacob, honor him! All you people of Israel, worship him!He has not forgotten the one who is hurting. He has not turned away from his suffering. He has not turned his face away from him. He has listened to his cry for help.Because of what you have done, I will praise you in the whole community of those who worship you. In front of those who respect you, I will keep my promises.Those who are poor will eat and be satisfied. Those who seek the Lord will praise him. May their hearts be filled with new hope!

You have been set free from sin. God has made you his slaves. The benefit you gain leads to holy living. And the end result is eternal life.When you sin, the pay you get is death. But God gives you the gift of eternal life. That’s because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done.

Before long, the world will not see me anymore. But you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life. It was as clear as crystal. It flowed from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

The living Father sent me, and I live because of him. In the same way, those who feed on me will live because of me.

Instead, they longed for a better country. They wanted a heavenly one. So God is pleased when they call him their God. In fact, he has prepared a city for them.
