但那些算是配得上承受那世代，又配得上從死人中復活的人，既不娶也不嫁。

惟有算为配得那世界，与从死里复活的人也不娶也不嫁；

惟有配得那要来的世代和从死人中复活的人不娶也不嫁。

若能得復生之世、則不嫁不娶、

若蒙復活之恩、而臻於來世則不娶不嫁；

睡在塵土中的眾人必醒來：有的得永遠的生命，有的蒙受羞辱，永遠被憎惡。那些明達的人將像穹蒼的光輝閃耀，那些使許多人歸於義的將像星辰閃耀，直到永永遠遠。

這正是神公義審判的證據，好使你們算是配得上神的國；你們也正是為此而受苦害的。

並且要出來——行善的人復活得生命，作惡的人復活被定罪。

凡是說話抵擋人子的，還能被赦免；但如果有人說話抵擋聖靈，無論在這世代，或在將要來的世代，都不能被赦免。

我對神所懷有的盼望也是這些人自己所期望的，就是義人和不義的人將來都要復活。

你們要時刻警醒、禱告，使你們能夠逃避這一切將要發生的事，好站立在人子面前。」

這樣使徒們就快快樂樂地離開了議會，因為算是配得上為這名受凌辱。

耶穌說：「你們之所以錯了，不就是因為你們不明白經上的話，也不明白神的大能嗎？

有些婦女得回了那些從死人中復活的親人；有些人受酷刑至死也不肯接受釋放，為要得到更美好的復活；

然而在薩迪斯，你還有幾名是沒有玷汙自己衣服的，他們將要身穿白衣與我同行，因為他們是配得上的。
