我們知道律法所說的話都是對律法之下的人說的，好塞住各人的口，使普世的人都伏在神的審判之下。

耶穌說這些話，他的敵人都慚愧了；所有的人因他所做一切榮耀的事都很歡喜。

他們聽了十分驚訝，就離開他走了。

有幾個文士說：「老師，你說得好。」以後，他們不敢再問他甚麼了。

法利賽人聽見耶穌堵住了撒都該人的口，他們就聚集在一起。

他破壞通達人的計謀，使他們手所做的不得成就。他使有智慧的人中了自己的詭計，叫狡詐人的計謀速速落空。
