從前雅尼和佯庇用甚麼方法反對摩西，這些人也這樣反對真理；他們是心思壞透了的人，在信仰的事上全不中用。但他們再也不能往前進了；因為他們的愚昧必在眾人面前顯得明明白白，像那兩人一樣。

就對他說：「同伴哪，你沒有婚筵禮服，怎麼進這裏來呢？」那人閉口無言。

我們曉得、律法無論說甚麼，都是向律法以內的人講的，好堵住每一個人的口，使全世界的人都伏在上帝審判之下；

有幾個經學士應時就說：『先生，你說得好。』他們再也不敢詰問他甚麼事了。

但是法利賽人聽見耶穌籠住了撒都該人的口，就聚集在一處；

他破壞狡猾人的計策，使他們的手展不出成功的謀略。他在智慧人自己的狡猾中捉住他們，使邪曲人的計謀迅速地失敗。
