就問他，『朋友，你來這裡怎麼不穿婚宴的禮服呢？』那人無言以對。

我們知道律法所講的都是針對律法之下的人，好叫所有的人都無話可說，使全世界都伏在上帝的審判之下。

因為有許多悖逆之人喜歡空談，善於欺騙，尤其是那些奉行割禮的人。

反對祂的人聽了這番話後，都非常羞愧，眾人卻為耶穌的奇妙作為高興歡喜。

他們聽了很驚奇，只好離開祂走了。

幾位律法教師說：「老師答得好！」此後，再沒有人敢問耶穌問題了。

法利賽人聽見耶穌使撒都該人無言以對，就聚集在一起。

祂挫敗狡猾人的陰謀，使他們無法得逞。祂使智者中了自己的詭計，使奸徒的計謀迅速落空。
