當着民眾面前、他們不能在耶穌的話語上抓得把柄，就閉口不言，希奇他所回答的。

願恨惡永恆主的人屈身投降他；願他們的刑期延到永遠。

當下他們將耶穌、從該亞法那裏帶到皇省長府內。那時候是清早；他們自己卻沒有進府內，免得染了俗污，好喫逾越節的筵席。於是彼拉多出來到外邊向着他們說：『你們拿甚麼控告這個人呢？』他們回答他說：『這個人若不是作惡的，我們就不把他送交給你。』彼拉多就對他們說：『你們自己把他帶去，按你們的律法審判他。』猶太人對他說：『我們殺人、是不可以的』。這是要應驗耶穌的話，就是他所指明、他將要由甚麼樣的死而死來說的。

他們並且要本着貪婪的心、用揑造的話、在你們身上牟取財利。他們之定受處刑從太古以來就沒有懶於執行；他們之定必滅亡並沒有打盹過。

伺伏等着他，要從他口中獵取話柄來。

他們差遣幾個法利賽人和幾個希律黨人來見耶穌，要就着話語來捉住他。他們來對他說：『先生，我們曉得你很真誠；甚麼人你都不在乎；因為你不看人的外貌，你只憑真誠來教授上帝的道路。納丁稅給該撒可以不可以？我們該納麼？還是不該納？』耶穌知道他們的詐偽，就對他們說：『你們為甚麼試探我？拿個「一日工錢」幣給我看。』他們拿了來，耶穌便問他們說：『這個像這個標號是誰的？』他們對他說：『是該撒的。』耶穌就對他們說：『把該撒的東西納給該撒，把上帝的東西納給上帝。』他們對於他都非常希奇。

他們就說：『來吧，我們來設計謀害耶利米；因為祭司有禮節規矩，智慧人有謀略，神言人有話語，都不能斷絕掉。來吧，我們用口舌攻擊他，他的甚麼話、我們都別理它。』

惡人窺伺着義人，想法子要殺死他。永恆主卻不撇棄他於惡人手中，當審判時也不定他為惡。

我聽見了許多人的讒誹；四圍盡是恐怖！『告發他！我們要告發他！』我的一切盟友，那些等着瞧我顛沛的說：『或者他被誘騙，我們就能勝過他，而在他身上得報復。』

就打發人往提哥亞去，從那裏帶了一個聰明的婦人來，對她說：『你請假裝居喪，穿上喪服，不要用膏油抹身，要裝做一個為死者居喪多日的婦人；

他們窺探着耶穌在安息日要不要治好他，意思是要控告他。

要對上帝說：『你所作的事何等可畏懼啊！因你能力之大你的仇敵都屈身投降你。

因為強橫人必歸於無有；褻慢人必消滅掉；一切靜伺機會以行奸惡的必都被剪除；他們用一句話使人受定罪，設下網羅來陷害城門口的裁判人，用無根無據的事轉臉不顧理直的。

我卻像柔順的羊羔，被牽到屠殺之地。我並不知道他們設計謀是要害死我；他們說：『我們來把樹連樹汁都滅掉，將他從活人之地剪除掉，使他的名不再被記念。』

耶羅波安對他的妻子說：『你起來改裝，使人不知道你是耶羅波安的妻子；往示羅去；看吧，在那裏有神言人亞希雅；他曾說到我必作王管理這人民的事。你要帶着十個餅，幾個脆餅；和一瓶蜜去見他；他就會告訴你、孩子要怎樣。』耶羅波安的妻子就這樣行；她就起身、往示羅去，到了亞希雅家裏。亞希雅因為年紀老邁，眼目發直，不能看見。永恆主對亞希雅說：『看哪，耶羅波安的妻子要來問你關於她兒子的事，因為她兒子病了；你要這樣這樣告訴她；她進來時、必裝作別的婦人。』她一進門，亞希雅聽見她的腳步聲，就說：『耶羅波安的妻子啊，請進來；你為甚麼裝作別的婦人呢？我奉差遣要將凶信告訴你呢。

尋索我命的設下網羅；謀求要害我的、直講毁滅的事，終日沉思着詭詐。
