他們當着百姓，在這話上得不着把柄，又希奇他的應對，就閉口無言了。

恨耶和華的人必來投降，但他的百姓必永久長存。

眾人將耶穌從該亞法那裏往衙門內解去，那時天還早。他們自己卻不進衙門，恐怕染了污穢，不能吃逾越節的筵席。彼拉多就出來，到他們那裏，說：「你們告這人是為甚麼事呢？」他們回答說：「這人若不是作惡的，我們就不把他交給你。」彼拉多說：「你們自己帶他去，按着你們的律法審問他吧。」猶太人說：「我們沒有殺人的權柄。」這要應驗耶穌所說自己將要怎樣死的話了。

他們因有貪心，要用捏造的言語在你們身上取利。他們的刑罰，自古以來並不遲延；他們的滅亡也必速速來到。

私下窺聽，要拿他的話柄。

後來，他們打發幾個法利賽人和幾個希律黨的人到耶穌那裏，要就着他的話陷害他。他們來了，就對他說：「夫子，我們知道你是誠實的，甚麼人你都不徇情面；因為你不看人的外貌，乃是誠誠實實傳神的道。納稅給凱撒可以不可以？我們該納不該納？」耶穌知道他們的假意，就對他們說：「你們為甚麼試探我？拿一個銀錢來給我看！」他們就拿了來。耶穌說：「這像和這號是誰的？」他們說：「是凱撒的。」耶穌說：「凱撒的物當歸給凱撒，神的物當歸給神。」他們就很希奇他。

他們就說：「來吧！我們可以設計謀害耶利米；因為我們有祭司講律法，智慧人設謀略，先知說預言，都不能斷絕。來吧！我們可以用舌頭擊打他，不要理會他的一切話。」

惡人窺探義人，想要殺他。耶和華必不撇他在惡人手中；當審判的時候，也不定他的罪。

我聽見了許多人的讒謗，四圍都是驚嚇；就是我知己的朋友也都窺探我，願我跌倒，說：告他吧，我們也要告他！或者他被引誘，我們就能勝他，在他身上報仇。

就打發人往提哥亞去，從那裏叫了一個聰明的婦人來，對她說：「請你假裝居喪的，穿上孝衣，不要用膏抹身，要裝作為死者許久悲哀的婦人；

眾人窺探耶穌，在安息日醫治不醫治，意思是要控告耶穌。

當對神說：你的作為何等可畏！因你的大能，仇敵要投降你。

因為，強暴人已歸無有，褻慢人已經滅絕，一切找機會作孽的都被剪除。他們在爭訟的事上定無罪的為有罪，為城門口責備人的設下網羅，用虛無的事屈枉義人。

我卻像柔順的羊羔被牽到宰殺之地；我並不知道他們設計謀害我，說：我們把樹連果子都滅了吧！將他從活人之地剪除，使他的名不再被紀念。

耶羅波安對他的妻說：「你可以起來改裝，使人不知道你是耶羅波安的妻，往示羅去，在那裏有先知亞希雅。他曾告訴我說，你必作這民的王。現在你要帶十個餅，與幾個薄餅，和一瓶蜜去見他，他必告訴你兒子將要怎樣。」耶羅波安的妻就這樣行，起身往示羅去，到了亞希雅的家。亞希雅因年紀老邁，眼目發直，不能看見。耶和華先曉諭亞希雅說：「耶羅波安的妻要來問你，因她兒子病了，你當如此如此告訴她。她進來的時候必裝作別的婦人。」她剛進門，亞希雅聽見她腳步的響聲，就說：「耶羅波安的妻，進來吧！你為何裝作別的婦人呢？我奉差遣將凶事告訴你。

那尋索我命的設下網羅；那想要害我的口出惡言，終日思想詭計。
