他們在民眾面前抓不到耶穌的話柄，又對他的答覆感到驚奇，就啞口無言了。

恨耶和華的人將向他卑躬屈膝，願他們受罰的日子直到永遠。

他們把耶穌從該亞法那裡帶到總督府，那時是清晨。他們為了不被汙穢，能吃逾越節的晚餐，就沒有進入總督府。於是彼拉多出來，到他們那裡，說：「你們提出什麼來控告這個人？」他們回答說：「這個人如果不是作惡的，我們就不會把他交給你了。」彼拉多對他們說：「你們自己把他帶走，按照你們的律法審判他吧。」那些猶太人回答說：「我們不可以處死人。」這是為要應驗耶穌說過的話，就是他指明自己將要怎樣死的那些話。

他們因著貪心，會用捏造的話利用你們。對他們的懲罰，從太古的時候就沒有失效，他們的滅亡也不耽延。

暗中等機會，要從他的口中抓住把柄。

惡人窺伺義人，尋機置他於死地；但耶和華必不將他離棄在惡人的手中；在審判的時候，也不定他有罪。

約押就派人去提克亞，從那裡帶來一個有智慧的婦人，對她說：「請你裝作居喪的人，穿上喪服，不要塗抹膏油，要裝作為死者悲慟多日的婦人。

有些人就密切注意耶穌會不會在安息日使那個人痊癒，這是為要控告耶穌。

當對神說：「你的作為多麼可畏！因你強大的能力，你的仇敵向你卑躬屈膝。

因為強橫者必歸於無有，譏諷者必滅絕，所有伺機做壞事的都必被剪除。他們憑一句話就定人的罪，給城門口的裁決者設下網羅，又用虛無的事屈枉義人。

那些尋索我命的設下圈套，那些尋機加害我的口吐威嚇，他們終日思想詭計。
