耶稣的回答令他们惊奇，他们无法当众找到把柄，只好闭口不言。

憎恶我的人要在我面前屈膝投降，永远沉沦。

黎明的时候，众人从该亚法那里把耶稣押往总督府，他们自己却没有进去，因为怕沾染污秽，不能吃逾越节的晚餐。彼拉多出来问他们：“你们控告这个人什么罪？”他们回答说：“如果祂没有为非作歹，我们也不会把祂送到你这里来。”彼拉多说：“你们把祂带走，按照你们的律法去审理吧。”犹太人说：“可是我们无权把人处死。”这是要应验耶稣预言自己会怎样死的话。

他们贪婪成性，想用花言巧语在你们身上谋利。这种人的刑罚自古已经判定，他们很快就会灭亡。

伺机找把柄陷害祂。

后来，他们派了几个法利赛人和希律党人到耶稣那里，企图利用祂所说的话设计陷害祂。他们上前对耶稣说：“老师，我们知道你诚实无伪，不看人的情面，因为你不以貌取人，而是按真理传上帝的道。那么，向凯撒纳税对不对呢？我们该不该纳呢？”耶稣看破他们的阴谋，就说：“你们为什么试探我呢？拿一个银币来给我看。”他们就拿来一个银币，耶稣问他们：“上面刻的是谁的像和名号？”他们说：“凯撒的。”耶稣说：“属于凯撒的东西应该给凯撒，属于上帝的东西应该给上帝。”他们听了这话，都很惊奇。

他们说：“来！我们设计对付耶利米吧，反正我们有祭司教导律法，有智者出谋划策，有先知传讲预言。来吧！我们抨击他，不要理会他的话。”

恶人窥探义人，伺机谋害。但耶和华不会让恶人得逞，也不会让义人在审判时被定罪。

我听见许多人窃窃私语：“看那个说‘四面有恐怖’的人，我们告发他！告发他！”我的好友都盼着我灭亡，说：“或许他会受骗，那样我们便能打倒他，一泄心头之恨。”

就派人到提哥亚去召来一个聪明的妇人，对她说：“你假扮哀悼的人，穿上丧服，不要用油抹身，要装成哀悼很久的妇人，

当时有好些人密切地监视耶稣，看祂是否会在安息日医治这个人，好找借口控告祂。

要对上帝说：“你的作为令人敬畏！你的大能使敌人屈膝投降。

残暴之徒必消失，嘲讽者必绝迹，所有心怀不轨者必被铲除。他们诬陷人，暗算审判官，冤枉无辜。

我好像一只被牵去宰杀的驯良羊羔，不知他们要谋害我。他们说：“我们把这棵树连果子一同毁灭，从世上除掉它，使它被遗忘吧！”

耶罗波安就吩咐妻子：“你乔装改扮使人认不出你是我妻子，然后去示罗找那位预言我做王的先知亚希雅。你要带十个饼、一些薄饼和一瓶蜂蜜去，他将告诉你孩子的病情会怎样。”耶罗波安的妻子就照他的话做，前往示罗，来到亚希雅家。那时亚希雅因年纪老迈，眼睛已失明。耶和华预先告诉亚希雅说：“耶罗波安的妻子会乔装成别的妇人，前来问你有关她儿子的病情，你要如此如此回答她。”她刚进门，亚希雅听见她的脚步声就说：“耶罗波安的妻子啊，你进来吧，为什么乔装改扮呢？我奉命告诉你一个噩耗。

谋害我的人设下陷阱，想害我的人威胁我，整天图谋奸计。
