When his parents saw him, they were amazed. His mother said to him,“ Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been worried about you. We have been looking for you everywhere.”

父母見之甚異、母曰、兒、何如此行於我、爾父與我傷心尋爾、

二親見之、不勝驚愕。聖母謂之曰：『兒何待我如此？汝父與我覓汝苦矣！』

“ Why were you looking for me?” he asked.“ Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”

Everyone said good things about him. They were amazed at the gracious words they heard from his lips.“ Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked.

Jesus was about 30 years old when he began his special work for God and others. It was thought that he was the son of Joseph. Joseph was the son of Heli.

While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside. They wanted to speak to him.
