但議院中有一個人站起來，是個法利賽人、名叫迦瑪列，是眾民所敬重的教法師。他吩咐把使徒暫時帶到外邊，

約拿怎樣三晝三夜在大魚腹中，人子也必怎樣三晝三夜在地心裏。

主永恆主賜給我受教之舌頭，使我知道怎樣用話語去扶助疲乏的人。主每天早晨喚醒我，他每天早晨喚醒我的耳朵，使我曉得聽、像受教者一樣。

羅波安對他們說：『你們暫且去，第三天再來見我。』眾民就去。

眾民照羅波安王所說『你們第三天再來見我』的那話、第三天果然來見羅波安了。

說：『大人，我們記得那迷惑人者還活着的時候曾經說過：「三天以後我要活起來」。所以請發命令將墓把守妥當、直到第三天；恐怕他門徒來了，把他偷去，卻告訴人民說：「他從死人中活了起來」；這樣，那末後的迷惑就比先前的更厲害了。』

從那時耶穌便開始指示門徒：他必須往耶路撒冷去，從長老祭司長和經學士手下受許多苦，並且被殺，第三天就得甦活起來。

以為他在同行的人中間；走了一天的路程，才在親戚和熟識的人中間尋找他。找不着，就回耶路撒冷去尋找他。
