但有一个法利赛人，名叫迦玛列，是众百姓所敬重的教法师，在公会中站起来，吩咐人把使徒暂且带到外面去，

约拿三日三夜在大鱼肚腹中，人子也要这样三日三夜在地里头。

主耶和华赐我受教者的舌头，使我知道怎样用言语扶助疲乏的人。主每早晨提醒，提醒我的耳朵，使我能听，像受教者一样。

罗波安对他们说：“你们暂且去，第三日再来见我。”民就去了。

耶罗波安和众百姓遵着罗波安王所说“你们第三日再来见我”的那话，第三日他们果然来了。

“大人，我们记得那诱惑人的还活着的时候曾说：‘三日后我要复活。’因此，请吩咐人将坟墓把守妥当，直到第三日，恐怕他的门徒来，把他偷了去，就告诉百姓说：‘他从死里复活了。’这样，那后来的迷惑比先前的更利害了！”

从此，耶稣才指示门徒，他必须上耶路撒冷去，受长老、祭司长、文士许多的苦，并且被杀，第三日复活。

以为他在同行的人中间，走了一天的路程，就在亲族和熟识的人中找他，既找不着，就回耶路撒冷去找他。
