就在那些日子裡，有一天耶穌在教導人的時候，也有些法利賽人和律法教師坐在那裡，他們是從加利利和猶太地區的各村莊，以及耶路撒冷來的。主的大能與耶穌同在，使他能醫病。

但有一個名叫迦瑪列的法利賽人，是全體民眾所尊敬的律法教師，在議會中站了起來，下令把使徒們暫時帶到外面去，

就是說，正如約拿在大魚的肚子裡三天三夜，人子也照樣將要在地心三天三夜。

主耶和華賜給了我門徒的口舌，使我知道怎樣用話語扶助疲乏的人。他每天清晨喚醒我，喚醒我的耳朵，使我能像門徒那樣地聽。

說：「大人，我們想起當那個迷惑人的還活著時曾經說過：『在第三天我要復活。』所以，請你下令嚴密看守那墳墓，一直到第三天，免得他的門徒們來把他偷走，然後對民眾說他從死人中復活了，這樣，那最後的迷惑就要比先前的更厲害了。」

從那時候起，耶穌開始向他的門徒們指示他必須到耶路撒冷去，經受長老們、祭司長們和經文士們的很多苦害，並且被殺，然後在第三天要復活。

以為他在同行的人群中。他們走了一天的路，才開始在親戚和熟人中找他。他們找不到他，就回到耶路撒冷去找。
