“ Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”

They said to the woman,“ We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

Simon Peter answered,“ You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared,he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.

So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.

But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Messiah?But we know where this man is from; when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from.”

and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.It teaches us to say“ No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,while we wait for the blessed hope— the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.

He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David

He has saved us and called us to a holy life— not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ

Then Jesus said to them,“ Why is it said that the Messiah is the son of David?David himself declares in the Book of Psalms:“‘ The Lord said to my Lord:“ Sit at my right handuntil I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’David calls him‘ Lord.’ How then can he be his son?”
