Then he gave the disciples orders to tell no one that he was the Messiah.

He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.This has now been made evident through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who has abolished death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them as dung, so that I may gain Christ

Then he said to them,“ How can they say that the Messiah is the son of David?For David himself says in the Book of Psalms: The Lord declared to my Lord,‘ Sit at my right handuntil I make your enemies your footstool.’David calls him‘ Lord.’ How, then, can he be his son?”
